This one policy applies to Red Table Chinese on the website and in the Android app. The same learning experience is available in both places.

Information handled by the service

You can use the learning activities without creating an account or submitting your name, email address, payment details, or lesson responses. Lesson selections and dialogue interactions are handled on your device and are not sent to a Red Table Chinese account system.

  • Your chosen interface language is stored locally in browser or app storage so it can be remembered.
  • The website's offline feature stores copies of the app's static files in your browser. It does not sync your learning activity.
  • When the website is hosted online, its hosting provider may process routine connection information such as IP address, requested page, browser type, and request time to deliver and secure the service.

Advertising and third parties

The Android app uses Google AdMob banner ads. Google AdSense ads may be shown on the website when the publisher enables them. When an ad is requested, Google and its advertising partners may process information such as IP address, device or browser identifiers, cookie or similar storage identifiers, ad views and interactions, and diagnostic data. Google and other vendors may use cookies or mobile advertising IDs to serve ads based on your previous visits to this or other websites or apps. Depending on your location, settings, and consent choices, this information may also be used to measure ads, limit fraud, and improve advertising services.

Consent and privacy choices

The Android app uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request current consent information and show a consent form when required. If Google requires a privacy-options entry point, the app provides “Ad privacy settings · Reklam gizlilik ayarları” for changing those choices. On the website, use any consent or ad controls presented with Google ads and the available Google Ads Settings.

Storage and retention

The language preference remains in local browser or app storage until you change it or clear that storage. You can remove website data and offline files through your browser's site-data settings; Android app data can be cleared in your device settings or by uninstalling the app. Google and the website host retain technical and advertising records under their own policies and settings.

Your privacy requests

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restrictions on personal information.
